Troy-Bilt LLC was formerly known as Garden Way Incorporated and changed its name to Troy-Bilt
LLC in September 2001. The company was founded in 1937 and is based in Valley
City, Ohio.
Garden Way Manufacturing of Troy, NY was the original
manufacturer of the much celebrated Troy Bilt rotary tillers. The mere mention
of the name Troy Bilt tiller signified rough, tough, well built, durable, and overall
good old fashioned down home performance.
Bolens, Troy Bilt and
Gardenway were brands that acquired ultimately by MTD Products, also known as
